Brennan Alexander Simple
Biography:
Born into the typical suburban family in small town Indiana, Brennan Simple was the epitome of nerd. It was far more likely to find him in a comic book store or huddled over a game of Dungeons & Dragons than outside playing baseball or basketball. He was rarely seen without a comic book, or two and he much preferred the fantasy world to that of the real world. He was the kid who was always picked on and bullied, picked last for the kickball team and most likely to be in trouble for not paying attention. But who could blame him? The fantasy worlds he read about or created in his own head were way better than the real world. Why would he deal with the taunts and harmful words when he could escape to a world of superheroes or supernatural beings?
It could have been guessed by anyone who knew him that Brennan would find a career that fit his love for fantasy. In turn it was no surprise when he chose to attend Wesleyan University to major in Film. While in college he wrote the script for the original Buffy the Vampire Slayer movie. It was meant to be his senior thesis but during his Junior year his mentor, one of the professors at the university, shared the script with a friend. It was then that his career was truly launched as the movie was created and released. He finished his degree and moved to Los Angeles where his career took off.
It would be very difficult to find someone who hadn't at least heard of some of Brennan's works. Most commonly Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Angel. However upon the finishing of Serenity, the movie created upon the cancellation of Firefly, Brennan essentially dropped out of sight which is where he is at the moment. Rumors abound of his upcoming projects, the majority of them centering around various comic books both related to Buffy or Angel and some unrelated. Really all that can be done is to wait and see what he comes up with next. It is bound to be worth the wait.
